Three Offerings, One Calm Approach
Whether you are starting from scratch or looking for ongoing support, Legacywright has a programme suited to where your family is right now.
Back to HomeOur General Methodology
All three sessions share the same underlying approach: start with what is already there, explain what it is and why it matters in general terms, and give families a clear, portable framework for keeping things in order going forward.
Enquiry & Preparation
We learn about your family's general situation and select the most suitable session. No detailed information is required at this stage.
Session Delivery
A trained facilitator guides you through the session framework, explaining each stage clearly and adjusting pace to suit your family.
Materials Provided
All printed and digital reference materials are handed over at the end of the session for your family to keep and use independently.
Ongoing Access
Membership clients receive regular updates throughout the year. One-off session clients may return for any other session at any time.
Belongings Inventory Session
A gentle, administrative session helping families create a clear, organised inventory of belongings and important papers. Suited to households wishing to keep careful records during a sensitive time. Organising and information support only, with no advice on any individual matter.
Many families find this session most useful when a household change is underway, or when they simply realise they have no clear record of what documents they hold and where. The session is practical, thorough, and unhurried.
- Structured inventory framework provided and explained
- Document categories identified and organised
- Physical and digital filing guidance included
- Printed inventory templates to keep and complete
How It Works — Step by Step
- 1We go through the general categories of documents households commonly hold, so you know what to look for.
- 2Using our framework, we work through the papers you have gathered, placing them into clear categories.
- 3We note what is present, what appears to be missing, and what may benefit from better storage — all in general terms.
- 4You leave with a completed inventory template and a simple guide to maintaining it yourself going forward.
Workshop Format
- 1Morning session: introduction to the main categories of family records and why each type matters generally.
- 2Mid-session: common filing systems explained, with examples and printed reference materials.
- 3Afternoon session: a practical exercise applying the framework to a sample set of document types.
- 4Close: summary handouts distributed, questions addressed, and next steps for your own records discussed generally.
Records Organising Workshop
A general-education workshop explaining, in plain terms, how family records and documents are commonly arranged and kept. Built to support everyday understanding and tidy keeping. Content is general and never specific to an individual's situation.
This workshop is well-suited to families who want to build their understanding before tackling their own records, and to those who want the learning to benefit several family members at once. Groups of up to four are welcome.
- Plain-language overview of common document categories
- Commonly used filing and labelling methods explained
- Printed workshop handouts and reference cards
- Suitable for up to four family members per group
Family Archive Membership
Ongoing access to organised templates, checklists, and general information sheets for keeping family records arranged over time. Created for families who value careful, steady preparation. All materials are general and informational only.
Membership is annual and provides access to our full library, which is updated regularly throughout the year. Families who enrol often tell us that having a reliable, updated reference point helps them maintain momentum long after an initial session.
- Full access to template and checklist library
- New materials added throughout the membership year
- Seasonal record-keeping reminders and guidance notes
- Available in print and digital format
- Can be combined with either session above

Professional Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Full Client Discretion
All session content remains entirely private. No family information is retained or shared outside of what is needed to deliver the session itself.

We remain firmly within a general, educational scope throughout. No individual guidance is offered in any session, in any form.
Document Handling Protocol
Documents seen during inventory sessions are never removed, copied, or retained. Families retain full possession and control throughout.
Paced Delivery
Session pace is always adjusted to suit the family present. There is no pressure to cover everything quickly; clarity is more important than speed.

All materials and explanations use plain, accessible language. We avoid technical terms wherever possible, and explain those we must use.
